Who we are

LONGSTONE Cleaning & Co. provides domestic cleaning and holiday let changeovers in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Tewkesbury and the surrounding villages.

What we collect

When you make an enquiry or book a visit, we may collect:

• Your name and email address.
• Your postcode, and for holiday lets the property address and listing link.
• Photos of a property that you choose to upload.
• The answers you give in the enquiry flow.
• Your IP address, which our website host records in its server logs whenever a page is served, and which we use to keep the enquiry forms from being abused.

Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

We use this information to answer your enquiry, to work out whether we can help, and to arrange and provide the service. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our work and in keeping the site secure. We do not make any decision about you by automated means.

Emails about our services

If you enquire and do not go on to book, we use your details to answer you and nothing else. We will not add you to a mailing list.

If you become a client, we may occasionally email you about our own cleaning services. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and you can tell us to stop at any time by replying or by emailing enquire@longstonecleaning.co.uk. We will stop straight away, and it will not affect your cleaning. We do not sell or share your details with anyone for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details while we are in contact with you about the work, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can pick the conversation back up if you come back to us. We delete them once they are no longer needed for that purpose. Client records are kept for as long as you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, for our own records and to meet our legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We use a small number of trusted service providers who process it on our behalf:

• Vercel, which hosts this website and serves its pages.
• Supabase, whose database and file storage hold your enquiry record and any photos you upload. This data is held in its London region, in the United Kingdom.
• Hostinger, which handles our email, so any message you send us passes through it.

Photographs of our work

This one is not about the website. It applies once you are a client and we are cleaning your home, and it is separate from any photos you choose to upload with an enquiry.

The team member cleaning your home may photograph the work they have done, including cleaned rooms and any pets, and we may share those photographs on our social media. We do not show identifying details, addresses or personal information in them. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in showing the standard of our work.

You can opt out at any time. Tell us in writing, by emailing enquire@longstonecleaning.co.uk, and we will not photograph your home or share images of it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
• Ask us to delete it.
• Ask us to restrict how we use it.
• Ask us to send it to you, or to someone else, in a portable form.
• Object to us using it, including where we rely on our legitimate interests.
• Not be subject to a decision made purely by automated means. We do not make any such decisions.

To exercise any of these, email enquire@longstonecleaning.co.uk and we will handle your request. It costs you nothing, and we will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection, at ico.org.uk.
